Favorite website projects of 2024: Stunning transformations that drove big results

Article detail for Actionable insights for your store:

Looking back on 2024, what stands out is the incredible Shopify projects we had the privilege of working on. From beautiful designs to innovative strategies, we love reflecting on the success we achieved with our clients. These are just a few of our favorite projects of the year.

Totally Bamboo

Our team had a lot of fun designing the new site for this colorful brand. We gave the store a huge upgrade in terms of UX and visual design—emphasizing clean lines, clear typography, and organized content.

“Elevating the look & feel of the site leads to trust in the brand, which contributes just as much to conversion as the UX strategy.” – Kellie Kowalski, Senior Designer

At Fuel Made, we know that it takes more than beautiful design to sell products, which is why we built this site with conversions in mind. The strategies we implemented along with the design delivered big results. Just 10 days after launch, Totally Bamboo saw a 60% increase in conversion rate and a 35% increase in traffic

“You’ve captured what we’ve wanted perfectly!”

– Kyle, CMO of Totally Bamboo

LOOV

LOOV came to us with a dated site and a low conversion rate. Overloaded with cluttered content, users were dropping off at key points in the buying journey. We wanted to build a site that reflected the high quality of the brand’s organic superfood offerings.

Our focus was on modernized design, reconstructed product pages, and streamlined navigation. By providing shoppers with a succinct path through the conversion funnel, we were able to improve conversion rate by a whopping 613%

“I am again super impressed by your service and the whole Fuel Made team! It’s so rare these days to find a partner who really cares and also has this type of expertise.”

– Ahto Vegmann, CEO of LOOV

Williams & Kent

Williams & Kent sells luxury men’s clothing that doesn’t make their customers choose between fashionable and forever. We upgraded this site’s design to match the timeless style of the brand, keeping things both classic and contemporary in every aspect of the site.

In addition to our conversion-driving UX strategy, we improved the photography direction for a strong visual appeal. We developed a mood board with lifestyle elements for the brand’s seasonal photoshoot, giving the site a clean, cohesive look.

Our Retention team has carried these strategies into the brand’s email marketing efforts, maintaining a consistent voice across all communications. After coming to us with low email revenue, we’ve been able to increase email revenue by 122% year-over-year. This success story reinforces our belief that merchants should work to improve every area of their ecommerce strategy.

“We have seen continuous improvement in response and sales associated with emails and are finally showing some growth over the prior year. I am very hopeful that we can continue to improve sales from email and that the launch of the website will be a great support to our email campaigns as customers will see and feel a similar voice and improved presentation.”

– Dievo Hagen, COO of Williams & Kent

Takedown Sportswear

Takedown Sportswear began as a wrestling academy in 2006 and has since grown into a leading manufacturer of custom sports apparel. After experiencing significant growth and partnerships with major industry names, Takedown realized their outdated website was holding them back. We came in to redesign the site with a focus on improved UX and driving conversions.

By analyzing user data and optimizing the customer journey, we achieved a 50% increase in conversion rate within six months of launching the new site. Strategic updates included cross-selling features that encouraged customers to “complete their kit” and improved navigation that made it easy for users to discover and purchase from over 2,000 SKUs, boosting total sales by 82%. With these updates, Takedown’s new site is not only visually appealing but also primed for continued success.

These projects are perfect reminders of why we do what we do: creating experiences that truly make a difference for ecommerce brands. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in 2024 and can’t wait to tackle new challenges and deliver even greater results in 2025.
